Distillery Visit

This is my 6th visit to the distillery already, but I was a bit pressed for time. So no tour this time around, but just a lovely flight in the new bar. Tried some outstanding whiskies and secured another distillery exclusive. Always good fun to visit my home away from home.
Distillery Visit
In
March 2026 I was in Edinburgh for the Independent Spirits Festival (which
was great, by the way), but was able to take a half day out of my
schedule to travel to Glasgow and visit my home away from home.Bar
It has only been two and a half years since my last visit, but I cannot not go to Auchentoshan whenever I travel to Glasgow, right?
Whilte I did not do a tour this time (I was a bit pressed for time), I did enjoy a flight of drams in the new bar and picked up another lovely bottle your own release.
My hostess was the lovely Mrs Helen, who not only served me the ordered flight, but took it upon herself to treat me to some extra dams of the Bottle Your Own releases available at the time. And yes, I took the outstanding Auchentoshan 13 Year Old 2012 White Port Cask #486 home with me.
The new bottle design will take some getting used to, but it's growing on me.
Oh, and guess what... I'm going back to Scotland in September 2026 and will pass through Glasgow again. Guess where I'll be stopping by for another dram...
