If you can help me expand my whisky palate, especially Auchentoshan, get in touch with me. Much obliged!

Indian Summer
We will stay with The Ultimate for a while, because through my buddy Marcel from the Netherlands I was able to get a sample of a sister cask, namely bourbon barrel #800257 that was put to sleep in 1999 and bottled after 15 years, although cut to 46%.
The nose is bursting with lime juice and grass. Wet, green grass to be exact. Like a football field that was just sprayed. Granny Smith apples and vanilla. It doesn't get much more classic than this.
The body is unfortunately on the very light side, almost watery. Oh, well. Sweet malt, lime, vanilla, granulated sugar, Reine Claude, white berry. Lightly peppered. On the palate a very classic bourbon matured Auchentoshan indeed. All good, as far as I'm concerned.
The finish is slightly peppered, sweet and medium.
A fine Auchentoshan to enjoy on a sun-drenched terrace (which I do today, thanks to an exceptional late summer October day).
