If you can help me expand my whisky palate, especially Auchentoshan, get in touch with me. Much obliged!

Triple Distilled
Deliciousness
In my book, this is now a golden oldie. I have
had it in my collection for a while, but only the one bottle so I
have not yet tried it. Thanks to social media I found someone
offering up samples (in one of these so-called bottle share groups)
and was able to secure a big sample, so that I can finally find out
if this is any good. Boy, am I glad that I did! By now it has spent
more time in the bottle than it ever did on the cask.
Hello! Oh, my, what a great nose! Classic old
school Auchentoshan on bourbon cask. It would not surprise me if
this was first fill. Makes me happy, this nose. It is rich and
fruity on all kinds of citrus, pineapple, maraschino cherries,
waffles with pear syrup and coconut. No FWP or any other off-notes,
but only triple distilled deliciousness!
The ABV is abundant, but I do not feel the urge
to add water. Creamy and sweet on apricot pie, oranges, pears and
almonds with liquorice and a lovely earthy note from the oak. Grand
with capital G.
The finish is long, sweet and spicy and simply
outstanding
Where have you been all my life? What a great
Auchentoshan. My day is made. The hunt for an extra bottle is now
open.
