If you can help me expand my whisky palate, especially Auchentoshan, get in touch with me. Much obliged!

Dram from a Galaxy far, far away
Derek Mather is the chef of the famous whisky restaurant Artisan in
Wishaw, about a half hour outside of Glasgow. He is also a big Star
Wars fan and quite likeable. He has got quite a few one-off bottles
with custom Star Wars labels and when I saw his bottle of
Auchentoshan with a Tatooine design, I just could not resist. I not
only got to try it, but Derek even offered me a bottle as a gift
when I lunched at his restaurant with my friends Niek, Ilse, Jeremy
Stephens from Auchentoshan Distillery and my better half Sofie.
Peach and pineapple with a spicy edge, the obligatory citrus and a hint of baking butter. That is, in a nutshell, the nose of this powerful Auchentoshan. Sweet malt with a good dollop of vanilla make it a nice aperitif whisky
.On the palate, the ABV rears its head with citrus zest and pears, but also some dried grasses and tonic. This is a creamy lady that stands out from other classic Toshan
The medium long, sweet finish dies on a note of white pepper.
Great Lowlander with an extra point for the setting in which it was
tasted – not to mention the wonderful label!
